Maxwell Transport Group was founded in January 2000 by Managing Director Bill Maxwell with one small prime mover and a vision. Maxwell Transport Group’s first customer was Woolworth’s Ltd which it still retains as a valued customer today. The company found home in Dandenong South late in 2000, strategically in the heart of Melbourne’s growth corridor.

The original transport business grew due to existing customer demand growing exponentially year on year and the winning of key contracts with Chep Australia, Australia Post, Blue Circle Cement and Hella Australia. It wasn’t long before the company had a substantial modern fleet of vehicles and the need for a larger facility was imminent.

In 2005 the Maxwell Group opened its state of the art facility in Dandenong South and remains home to the Group’s head office.

Today the Maxwell Group is a completely vertically integrated logistics provider for some of Australia’s largest companies providing excellence in warehousing, property and transport services. It has strategic infrastructure in place throughout the nation and is poised to continue its growth with forecast growth remaining well into double digits.
